The Town has conducted a survey to get feedback from COWs on a variety of diverse issues ranging from the interest of the cowmunity in term limits to what to do with funds received from the very substantial tree fine.
At the end of January 2018, the Town sent a postcard to every postal customer in the Town as well as an invitation to complete the survey via Nextdoor Woodside. In early February, a follow-up invitation was posted on Nextdoor Woodside. As of February 22, 2018, there have been 326 responses to the survey which you can review here.
For such a survey to be meaningful, COWs must take the time to fill it out. The population of Woodside was 5,287 at the 2010 census. The 326 responses is not a representative sample. For those of you who care about the Town and those of you who have a variety of concerns about its management and practices, it is essential to take advantage of this type of opportunity to make your views known.
If you haven’t received a survey, make sure to contact the Town and find out why. It’s important for the Town to know how you feel so that they can respond to concerns and issues. Silence is taken to mean assent to the status quo.
