Spring has sprung, and the little ones have been sprung from school for Spring Break! With the weather warming up, children start getting antsy – so if you’re running out of ideas to help keep them busy, COW is here to help!

The magnificent Filoli Estate is celebrating Spring with a “Spring Fling and Easter Egg Hunt,” on Saturday, March 22nd. The event is from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with the egg hunt in the Olive Orchard for 2-7 year olds – but there’s lots of fun activities for all ages. Check it out at their website here.

For those children with next week off and a dramatic bent, the Chabot Space and Science Center is hosting the ‘Broadway Bound’ Spring Break Drama Camp the week of March 24th. Children from Kindergarten to 5th grade can learn to sing, dance, and improve their drama skills from 9am-3pm daily. You can contact them at (510) 895 – 5611.

For kids and families just looking to have a great time, we suggest Six Flags Discovery Kingdom (formerly Marine World) in Vallejo! They’re open for Spring Break through March 30th, with amazing animal attractions as well as roller coasters, a children’s play area, and other rides. You can find out more and get tickets here.

The Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk is open for Spring Break, with all rides and arcades open, as well as their beautiful beach perfect for sunbathing now that we’re finally seeing some sun!

And just to complete the amusement park trifecta, California’s Great America in Santa Clara opens up for Spring Break starting Friday, March 21st as well.

To help kids burn off some of that energy, why not enroll them in a sports camp? Spring Break Camps San Francisco offers a high-energy sports camp featuring tennis, squash, basketball, soccer, and swimming. As a bonus, the camps are organized with the French school La Perouse and will be taught in both English. So say oui to fun with Spring Break Camps San Francisco!

To finish off closer to home, with the beautiful weather we’ve been having lately, it’s a perfect time to hit the coast at Half Moon Bay. From the beauty and fun of Pillar Point Harbor to tide pools and bird refuges to more grown-up pleasures like renowned wineries, Half Moon Bay is the perfect way to spend a spring day with your family.

Whatever you do, have a great time this Spring Break!
