One of our favorite annual events is the Kings Mountain Art Fair on Labor Day weekend, September 1, 2 & 3 from 10 am – 5 pm! So we say moo-sy on up the hill for three days of fun, food and some mighty fine art to look at or buy. The Kings Mountain Art Fair benefits the Kings Mountain Volunteer Fire Brigade and other cowmunity activities, including the Kings Mountain Elementary School. The Fair is run completely by local volunteers so come on out among the beautiful Redwoods and support your neighbors.
The Fair celebrates the local art community. The Mountain Artists section of the fair is located between the firehouse and Kiddie Hollow. It showcases local talent, ranging from professional artists who live here to local hobby crafts.
This is a great event for the kids. For a small fee, they can hang out at Kiddie Hollow where, among other activities, they can make their own art at supervised booths. For a small fee, that covers the cost of supplies, children of all ages can make their own art at the supervised booths, including spin, string, straw, and glitter art, among other activities. Parents can relax and can watch their young-uns from the Parent’s Retreat which overlooks Kiddie Hollow. Open 10a.m. To 4 p.m.
There is something for everyone to enjoy. Admission and parking is free so come and enjoy the redwoods and mingle with other COWs. Bring some cash so you can buy breakfast and lunch, drinks and the world’s largest cookies! Sorry no pets. We hope to see you there.
