If the kids like ice skating:
Holiday Ice Skating in Central Park in San Mateo will be open daily until January 10th.
San Jose’s Downtown Ice is located at Park Avenue and Market Street, across from Plaza de Cesar Chavez Park until February 7th. It is located across from Christmas in the Park which is open until January 3rd and with carnival rides in Winter Wonderland. All three make for family fun of all ages.

Illuminate SF Festival of Light until January 1st. Light art will illuminate block after block of San Francisco’s corrugated surface. It includes 27 dramatic, eco-friendly light art installations.
Silicon Valley Ballet’s Nutcracker ¬until December 27 at San Jose Center for the Performing Arts, 255 Almaden Blvd.
Santa Cruz Holiday Lights Train – It’s all aboard for holiday fun as these vintage train cars roll through Santa Cruz decorated with thousands of colorful lights. Sing holiday carols, sip hot-spiced cider and listen to musical entertainment while Santa visits the little ones. Departs from Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk. December 18-23.
