The yearly Kings Mountain Art Fair has come and gone and hopefully you were able to spend some time admiring the work of our local artists. If you weren’t able to attend don’t worry, if you visit Mountain Made in Woodside you will find many different pieces from various local artists. The shop which is located at 17288 Skyline Boulevard in Woodside is open year round Friday thru Sunday and contains many different types of media, from paintings and pottery to metalwork and apparel. Their website has a listing of all participating local artists as well as upcoming events. This a great place to stop and enjoy the wonderful art from our unique area perhaps on your way to this years Half Moon Bay Pumpkin festival.
The 38th annual HALF MOON BAY ART & PUMPKIN FESTIVAL is this weekend Oct. 18-19. Half Moon Bay again pays homage to The Great Gourd “including a special display of gigantically enormous champion pumpkins, three stages of smashing entertainment, live music, the Great Pumpkin Parade with San Francisco Giants great Will Clark as Honorary Grand Marshal, a bone-chilling Haunted House, harvest-inspired crafts, home-style foods, expert pumpkin carvers, photos with the grand champion gourd, pie-eating and costume contests, The Golden Gourds Youth Talent Show, The Take 5 Lounge with giant screen LED TV, the “ONE” Organic and Natural food tasting extravaganza, festival-label wine and Mavericks Pumpkin Harvest Ale.” And best of all Admission is free!
