Easter is fun for kids of all ages! There’s lots of hipping and hopping to be done this Easter, pick an activity or two, pack the herd and have a Happy Easter! One word of caution, plastic eggs are often filled with candy and small toys which may be a choking hazard for small children so be vigilant.

Both Saturday April 3rd and Easter Sunday April 4th are great days for Easter egg hunts!

Belmont on Saturday April 3rd. Belmont Park & Recreation Department is hosting their annual hunt at Twin Pines Meadow off of Ralston. Be there at 9 AM SHARP. It’s a free event for 3-10 year olds and all will get eggs, candy and other surprises. Bring your own basket. For more information go here.

Burlingame on Saturday April 3rd. Burlingame’s Annual Lion’s Club Easter Egg Hunt and Pancake Breakfast starts early. Breakfast is served between 7:30 AM to 11 AM and costs $6 for adults and $3 for children. The egg hunt begins at 9 AM, and again at 11 AM. Be sure to have your baskets with you. The San Mateo Elks Band will perform and local artist and face painter, TwinkieDeeStar, will be there to do free face painting for the children, or even the young at heart. The event will be held at the main Burlingame Recreation Center, located at 850 Burlingame Avenue. Campbell on Saturday April 3rd. The Campbell Kiwanis Club presents the annual Campbell Eggstravaganza, Campbell Community Center, 1 West Campbell Avenue, in Campbell, for children ages 2-12 from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00a.m. this is a free event with the hunt beginning at 10:30 a.m. other festivities are face painting, fingernail painting, arts and crafts, games, a jump house, music and dancing. Then Campbell Annual Bunnies and Bonnets Parade and Kids Fair is from 12:00 noon – 3:00. This is another free event with the parade starting at noon at the East end of Downtown and runs along Campbell Avenue to 3rd Street and the fair starting at 1:00 p.m. at South First Street between Campbell Avenue and Orchard City Drive. Los Altos on Saturday April 3rd. Activities begin at 9:30 and the egg hunt begins at 10AM at Hillview Soccer Field, 97 Hillview Avenue. The egg Hunt is for four age groups. Walking to 2 yrs, 3-4 yrs, 5-7 yrs and 8-10yrs. Bring your own basket; they hunt rain or shine! More events immediately follow the hunt! Call 947-2790 for additional information or go here.

Menlo Park on Saturday April 3rd. The Menlo Park Community Services Department will present an Egg Hunt at Burgess Park. Enjoy a ride on Old Tom! Bring your camera for photos with the Bunny! The Egg Hunt schedule is as follows: 10:00am Bunny arrives, bounce house opens, crafts begin, jelly bean guess. 10:30am: Egg Hunt – 2 years and under (with parents) 10:45am: Egg Hunt – 3-4 years, parents optional 11:00am: Egg Hunt – 5-6 years 11:15am: Egg Hunt – 7-8 years 11:45am: Jelly Bean Winner announced. Children are allowed to collect four eggs and should bring their own basket or bag. Children will be given additional candy at the end of the hunt. San Carlos on Saturday April 3rd. The Hiller Aviation Museum in San Carlos is bringing in the Bunny on a Helicopter and your children can greet the Bunny at 10:30 AM. The Bunny will be giving out eggs to all children there and face painting will be offered by the Magic Princesses. For more information go here.

San Mateo on Saturday April 3rd. 33rd Anniversary City of San Mateo Eggstravaganza, Central Park, 5th and El Camino Real, San Mateo from 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. This is a free event with the Egg hunts divided by age and starting at 9:30 a.m. The festivities begin at 9 a.m. with a pancake breakfast ($7 adult, $4 child), Arts, games, music, magic and a parade that starts at 11:00 a.m. More information is available here.

Santa Clara on Saturday April 3rd. The Santa Clara Easter Egg Hunt at Central Park, 909 Kiely Blvd., in Santa Clara. This event begins at 9a.m. and the hunt begins at 10a.m. for kids aged 2 to 8. (there are different divisions for different ages, to make it fair). There will also be a booth for morning snacks, face painting, carnival games and photos with the Easter Bunny. San Francisco on Sunday April 4th. The annual Bring Your Own Big Wheel (BYOBW) Races will be held at 4 p.m. at Vermont at 20th Street. This is another free event and is a blast! Lots of big people on little rides. For more information visit here.

San Francisco on Sunday April 4th. The San Francisco Easter Parade and Celebration on Union Street between Gough and Filmore will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The parade begins at 2 p.m. This event is free and the street will be hopping with bunnies, music a petting zoo, inflatable bouncers, rides, arts and crafts, pony rides and more!
