Easter is just a hop, skip and a jump away! There are quite a few family friendly events to help celebrate this holiday. Remember to bring your own basket for egg hunts. City of San Mateo 38th Anniversary of Eggstravaganza – from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM in Central Park, San Mateo. This event includes
• Egg Hunts (4-9 yrs) Nine (9) different egg hunts throughout the day. Scheduled Egg Hunts: 9am, 9:30am 10am, 10:30am, 11am, 11:30am, 12pm and 12:30pm, 1pm. New this year by clicking HERE you can pre-purchase your child’s wristband for $2 for what egg hunt time you want to participate in.
• Peter Rabbit’s Playground (1-3yrs)
• Join in the Community Parade at 10:30 am.
• In addition, entertainment includes 9:30am = Puppet Art Theater Co.; 11:00am = Andy Z; 12:00pm = Magician, Dante Mancini.
• There is also a pancake breakfast for a small charge.

Los Altos Egg Hunt and Teen Egg Launch –
The Egg Hunt is appropriate for children who are walking and up to 10 years old. Check their website for the start time for each age group. There is a concert by Oklin Bloodworth to follow. In addition to the Egg Hunt there are games and activities.
The Teen Egg Launch is intended for ages 11 through 17 years. Kids bring homemade launchers and see who can launch the eggs furthest. All participants must register by April 1, 2015. Email firstname.lastname@example.org for more information or to register for the Teen Egg Launch.
Activities begin at 9:30 a.m. and the Egg Hunt begins promptly at 10:00 a.m. All festivities will take place at the Hillview Soccer Field.

Santa Clara Easter Egg Hunt –
The event is held in central park 969 Kiely Blvd., in Santa Clara
The Easter Egg Hunt starts at 10:00 am. There are multiple divisions including 2 and under, 3-4, 5-6, 7-8, and special needs.

21ST Annual Eggster Egghunt and Learning Festival –
Located at: Campanile Esplanade (Sather Tower), UC Berkeley from 10AM-3PM. This is the largest free egg hunt in Northern California. It is billed as a learning festival with educational booths and activities. The egg hunts will take place throughout the day so feel free to come whenever you want while our event is going on.

San Francisco Union Street’s 24th Annual Easter Parade & Spring Celebration –
The event is held rain or shine from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM. This only in San Francisco style parade begins at 2:00 PM on Union Street ~ Gough to Fillmore. It is a smoke-free family event with large inflatable bounces, kids’ rides and games, a climbing wall, a hands-on children’s activities area, costumed characters, a petting zoo, a pony ride and entertainment from some Bay Area musicians. There is an Easter Bonnet Contest from 11:15 – 1:30 with categories including: Best in Show, Best Couple, Best Family, Best Pet, Best Children, Best Merchant, Most Elegant, Largest Hat, Most Comical, and Most Creative.
