The Menlo Park annual Holiday Tree Lighting in Fremont Park (Santa Cruz Avenue at University Drive) from 5:30 – 7:00 PM has a most unusual treat, in addition to Santa and his elves, Jeremy Sutton, a digital artist, will use his tablet and drawing software to paint the event as it unfolds. He will be capturing the magic of the tree lighting event, which will be displayed for all to observe in real time on a large projection screen. It is something to observe. It is followed from 7:30 – 10:00 pm, iPad Art: Places – 3 Brits in Silicon Valley art show at Art Ventures Gallery (888 Santa Cruz Ave, Menlo Park, California 94025), including artist talks from the 3 artists: Jeremy Sutton, Adam James Butcher, and Caroline Mustard. There will be an exhibition of Sutton’s new series, Iconic Places of Silicon Valley.
