It is the time of year to once again have fun at Day of the Horse in Woodside. There are 3 days of celebrating the contributions horses make in our Town and COWnty and our Town’s equestrian heritage. Whether you ride or not, the Day of the Horse provides fun and entertainment for everyone.
The fun begins Friday, October 11 with an opening reception and equestrian art show 6PM – 8PM. We are especially looking forward to the Youth Art Show which takes place the entire weekend at the Woodside Village Church. Find out about submissions here. Then continues Saturday, October 12 with the progressive trail ride from 11AM – 3PM and after party from 3PM to 5PM at the Woodside Mounted Patrol grounds with live music, food and horse arena entertainment. Sunday concludes the weekend with the Horse Fair from 10AM to 2PM. Admission to the Sunday fair is free and open to the public and located in the parking area of Town Hall, 2955 Woodside Road. This year, there will be hands-on experiences for riders and novices, pony rides, the Wells Fargo Stagecoach, watching a blacksmith at work, face painting, decorating horse cookies as well as educational, informational and interactive booths and live music and food, there is something for everyone to enjoy.
