One of the main events of The Day of the Horse is the Progressive Trail Ride. It is described on the WHOA’s website as multi-generational, bringing together riders with differing levels of skill and from different riding cowmunities – Western, English, etc. Riders come in from all parts of California to participate. No hunger pains here as both horses and riders are provided with food and drinks during the leisurely ride. The Progressive Trail Ride is held between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. While pre-registration has closed, the registration form says late registration is still available for $50. You can even wait until the day of the event but it’ll cost you $75 cash only.
As WHOA’s website tells us “The Day of the Horse, the brainchild of two Woodside horse lovers who wanted to bring the community together in support of our equine friends with a day of fun and festivities.
