We invited the two non-incumbent candidates for Town COWncil to tell us about themselves. The information below was provided by Dave Burow. We appreciate Dave’s willingness to reach out to this community and his willingness to volunteer to serve in public office. We hope he will take advantage of our standing offer to post information which he or other Council members would like to post on COW in the future.

Age: 55

Occupation: Businessman

Education and Qualifications:

It is a privilege to live in Woodside. I am running for Council to ensure that our Town is well managed and that we maintain a sensible balance between preserving our beautiful natural environment and allowing progress to occur. As a business executive and long time resident I believe I bring the experience, skills, judgment and perspective needed to represent the residents of District 5 and contribute to the governance of the Town.

I have been a resident of Woodside for 23 years. My wife and I have owned a home in Woodside Hills in District 5 for all of those years. For the past 2 years I have served on the Woodside Hills Homes Association Architectural Review Board.

I am the CEO of Catalytic, a Palo Alto software company and have held management positions in Silicon Valley semiconductor and software companies since 1979. My education includes an environmental engineering degree from Purdue University and an MBA in finance from the University of Chicago. Additionally I serve on the board of directors of 4 technology companies.

I would sincerely appreciate your support.
