Belle Alert! Congressional Art Competition

April 8, 2015

Each spring, the Congressional Institute sponsors a nationwide high school visual art competition to recognize and encourage artistic talent in the nation. You can see the 2014 winners here.

Our Congresswoman Anna Eshoo is holding a district-wide art competition for high schoolers to select the piece of art which will be submitted from our district. A panel of local artists will select our district’s entry which will hang for a year in the Capitol building. Artwork must be submitted to Congresswoman Eshoo’s office at 698 Emerson Street by 5 p.m. PST on Thursday, April 23 to qualify.

If you know a student who might be interested please have them check out the Congresswoman’s website here for more details.
