LOW COST Pet Microchipping
This Saturday, October 6, a Low Cost Cat and Dog microchipping clinic will be held at Station #8, 135 Portola Road, Portola Valley from 10 am to 12 pm. The microchips help the Animal Welfare Committee (AWC) volunteers identify and more easily return companion animals to Woodside Fire Protection District (WFPD) residents during emergencies. Help protect your furry friends with microchipping and help the AWC which is part of the Citizens Emergency Response and Preparedness Program (CERPP) of the WFPD with their activities concerning Animal Welfare both large and small.
The AWC is working on emergency preparedness for pets and livestock during disasters including a comprehensive evacuation plan to private emergency shelters that will accommodate both large and small animals from areas within the WFPD in times of need.
